How this works.

What engagement with Cornerwork looks like — from the first conversation to handoff and beyond. No surprises, no ambiguity.

01

The First Conversation

Free. No commitment.

No pitch. No deck. No obligation. We listen to the problem. If we can fix it, we'll say so. If we can't — or if someone else is a better fit — we'll say that too.

This is a conversation, not a sales call. The goal is to understand the problem well enough to know whether we're the right people for it.

What to expect

30–60 minutes. We'll ask about the problem, the context, and what "fixed" looks like to you. You'll leave knowing whether we're worth talking to further.

02

Scoping

Define before building.

Before anything gets built, we define what we're building. That means a written scope: what's included, what's not, what it costs, and how long it takes.

Scope creep and surprise invoices come from ambiguity. We eliminate ambiguity up front. If the scope changes mid-project, we discuss it before acting on it — not after.

What to expect

A written proposal covering the work, the timeline, and the cost. Work doesn't start until we've both signed off on it.

03

The Build

Work, not theater.

We work. You stay informed. No radio silence, no mystery, no weekly status calls that don't say anything useful.

You get direct access to the person doing the work. There's no account manager between you and the project. Updates happen when there's something worth reporting — which means they're worth reading when they arrive.

What to expect

Working software, not slideshows. We'd rather show you something real than describe what we're planning to build.

04

Handoff

You own it. Fully.

When the work is done, it's yours. Code, documentation, credentials — everything transfers to you. No lock-in. No ongoing fees for something you paid for once.

We walk your team through what was built, how it works, and how to maintain it. The goal is to make you self-sufficient — not dependent on us for things you should be able to handle yourself.

What to expect

A handoff session, written documentation, and a 30-day window where we're available for questions at no additional charge.

05

After the Project

Ongoing, on your terms.

We're available for follow-on work on the same terms — scoped, priced honestly, and agreed on before anything starts. No retainers required.

If something breaks because of our work, we fix it. No argument. If you need something that falls outside what we do, we'll tell you — and point you somewhere better if we can.

What to expect

A straightforward relationship. If you need us again, reach out. Same process, same terms, same directness.

What you won't get
  • A rotating cast of people who don't know your project
  • Surprise invoices for scope that was never discussed
  • Retainers that exist to keep you paying, not to keep you served
  • Deliverables you can't maintain without calling us first
  • A yes when the honest answer is no

"We scope the work, do it well, and tell you the truth about what's possible."
